Saint James

The town of Saint-James, rich in its thousand-year-old tradition in the bay of
Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy, gave its name to the brand in 1889.

In 1889, SAINT JAMES created its first wool jumper for sailors, a garment designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the sea. Its exceptional warmth and resistance to humidity made it a sailor’s trusted companion—a true second skin.
From this functional piece, an iconic garment was born, laying the foundation for over 130 years of nautical heritage and artisanal expertise. Today, the SAINT JAMES jumper remains a symbol of timeless maritime style and premium craftsmanship.
